The Flow Down
The Art of Poetry and Spoken Word
Where I am
by Komplex
The space between breaths
Quietly, desperately needed
hoped for, silently we expect
The choice pre-flesh
A hard life and an easy death or vise versa
Just follow these steps
Where being hot stops
I’ve been hot
it got too common place
I left
For something more significant
I want to be different
already blew up
I am ground zero
Shape-shifting between the victims and the heroes
Unforgettable
Hurricane brown, calm, warm, storm-friendly
Stitch my wounds with a torn medley
Of beautiful music
No anesthetic
So smile for me
we will both feel better
‘cause I’m running cool
in 4/4 time
falling in circles around a track
bass heavy on my heels
Guitars chasing
I escape just in rhyme
to be where I am again
The taste between breaths
Found new direction
change with each step
Reflect moonlight so I can talk to the sun it's all in the lungs
Lay prostrate on the equator, align with the planet
Live thru my Future and own time
Grudges too heavy to carry
Gotta’ do my dance
Won’t stop until I drip my reward
Only then pause to catch that taste
Deep
breathe light so I can see my way.
